Since I was a child, I felt an innate closeness with nature, as if it were a vessel of connection between every living thing. Navigating the world as a sensitive individual, nature was my sanctuary of peace and spiritual health my greatest source of resilience. During my teenage years, I experienced struggles with depression and social anxiety, and it became increasingly clear that I wanted to pursue the healing arts in some capacity.

While I was figuring out which direction to take during my undergraduate studies, I watched my mother navigate a breast cancer journey with stress and overwhelm. She was sent to several different specialists, nurses failed to communicate about her medications resulting in two infections, and overall she was treated like a number instead of a person. From an objective observation of the system, something felt like it was off; the process felt cold and detached rather than warm and sensitive.

I envisioned an alternative healing environment that felt more personalized and comforting than the fluorescent, fast-paced atmosphere of modern western medicine. It was around this time that I picked up an introductory book to Ancient Chinese Medicine and immediately fell in love with its theoretical framework. The way it connected the patterns of nature with living expressions in human beings felt deeply resonant and validating. In that moment I decided to pursue it, and it has been an immensely fulfilling journey ever since.

Ancient Chinese Medicine allows me to integrate three things I love: applying my mind to a system of holistic science, sensitizing myself to subtle energetic shifts, and supporting others along their healing journey. My healing approach is centered around two yin and yang facets: remaining rooted in the theory of the medicine and the knowledge that has been passed down to me, and allowing space for what arises in the present moment to express itself freely, without any preconceived notions. This way, my work is both grounded and intuitive.

As a doctor of Ancient Chinese Medicine, I am here to create a healing environment that is comfortable and personalized with a medicine that is capable of tending to your unique healing journey. Whether it be utilizing acupuncture, prescribing herbal medicine, or offering holistically-informed recommendations, my intention is to nurture the innate healing capacity that already lives inside of you.
